I know nobody wants to read a long ass blog. 

But, I have so many things I want to say so please bear with me. 

It’s tax time again.  While adding up my receipts I discovered that I spent WAY TOO MUCH money at the grocery store last year.  Although, I am very happy to report that during garden months I saved an average of 200.00 a month!!  I always say no matter who you are, you should be growing something that you consume. 

My throat is on fire and  I have felt crappy since last week.  (note to self) – nobody wants to hear that shit.

The point of that is I want to be healthy because my son is coming to Georgia to do the 1/2 ironman in Augusta.  I am going to be his support team and I don’t want him to be embarrassed of my big white flabby body amid a sea of hard bodies.  I am starting operation “fat bottom” as soon as I have enough breath to stay upright all day.

Tomorrow is St. Patty’s Day. Me being, K*A*T*H*L*E*E*N  makes this MY  day.  I will have to find something green to drink. I know what your thinking, MARGARITAS are green! Great minds think alike   :^0

Recently, I started a Facebook with my sister.  It said it was compatible with windows live.  Lots of my friends popped up.  I thought this meant that all of these people already have a facebook.  Now, I believe this was an error.  I did not mean to try and recruit anyone who is not on.  if you are on – please be my friend. Whew! okay, that’s cleared up.  

I have a bunch of DVD’s listed on ebay.  I haven’t listed anything in a while.  I figured with the economy like it is that the bids would not be good.  I listed a box of baby clothes I got from a storage unit and it sold for 45.00 whoo-hoo,  They cost me ZERO. I figured I would run some dvd’s and see what happens.

The pawn shop is slowing down too.  Three days last week we did not meet our minimum goal for the day.  I took a video of the store while it was slow but I can not upload it to my computer.  It is beginning to frustrate me.  It has always worked so well in the past.

Hello, to all of my blogoholic buddies. 

I went to florida for a quick visit to my my dad and to get some finishing touches painted at the vacation palace. 

We are having a big family gathering there in April.

I took help with me, who didn't finish anything he started.  That's all I'll say about that. 

The kitchen has a new plaster look and I painted it chocolate brown.

The old kitchen was white.  That is all I liked about it. The cabinets were just sides and doors.  They were completely infested with rats and other creepy stuff.

The new cabinets are completely enclosed oak cabinets.  They have been keeping "nature " completely out of my cabinets so far.  I love the chocolate brown don't' you?

In case you don't know this is my vacation home  in Florida we have been fixing up for the last year and a half.  Here is a shot of it outside.

Isn't it adorable?  It sits in the middle of the Ocala National Forest. 

This is the inside.  It was messy but you can see it is going to be very comfortable and livable inside.

I also took an afternoon and went to visit my favorite authors home.  She was a close friend of my family for many years.  She wrote about my grandfather in published books.

Her typewriter, writing  table and chairs!   Isn't it wonderful that her things are still here. These basic things of life.  I have read every word she ever wrote.

I have had my 4 year blogiversary!!  Jan 7th I think.

The Pawn Shop has been busy with loans.  The sales are way down .  That is not good.  We need sales to have money to loan out.  We can only loan about 50% of what we could loan on the same items last year.

We are closing the store  for a couple of days. Russ and his brother are going to Florida this weekend to start on the summer house.  As, you remember , we have the place in the national forest.  We are finished, almost finished with the first house, trailer.  They are starting on the other house on the property.  The floor is completely gone but, the roof doesn't leak. 

I know that lots of my cyber "spaces" buddies have had a heapin' helpn' of snow.  Not me, again this year I hope and pray and squint into the security light to see snowflakes.  No accumulation so far this winter. If it snows here in Georgia it is usually in March.  I still have hope.

I did it.  I really freaking did it!!  It was horrifying and it did hurt.  BUT - I LOVE IT!!!

This photo was taken right after I had my eyeliner done.  The numbing agent stung my eyes extremely bad.  She told me not to squench my eyes but I couldn't help it.  They were watering like crazy.  So the numbing agent would not stay on.  The tattoo its self hurt really bad too.  I felt like I had been beat up for about 2 days.  I also had to keep petroleum jelly on it for 6 days. 

It has faded to  a light brown and looks very good.  I am not showing a final pic yet because,

#1.  I got a bruise on my eyelid and she had to stop.  She  said in nine years this has only happened once - and the woman was very old!!  Oh crap.

#2.  I have to go back 6 weeks after that for any touch-ups I want after living with it for a while..

I am still having problems with my notebook not seeing the wireless. Russ's laptop does not have this problem. So I keep cussing at my notebook and threatening to put it in the dishwasher.

As I was lying on the table I was wishing I had someone to share my spa day with.  I had asked someone who I kind of consider a friend if she was interested she said "Why do I look like I need it?" 

I went alone. I have tried all of the at home microdermabrasion  kits and I must say the  real McCoy is sooo much better.

I arrived for my appointment early, I am always early, anxious I guess.

The Dr. of  N.D. C.A.S.  whatever the hell that is came out to get me.  She  is a dark haired beauty kind of exotic looking.  She led me to a room with dim lighting and soft new age music playing.  She said to undress from the waist up and use this soft,warm  wrap. I laid on a table with a pillow under my knees.   She used a warm oil and massaged my face then my shoulders and neck. 

Then she folded a wet, hot towel length ways and wrapped it around my face with my mouth and nose  kind-of  sticking out.  It smelled like mint.  It was very relaxing.  She wiped my face with the towel.  Ahhhh.  She used a tool and extracted black heads that I didn't even realize I had.

Then she started the microdermabrasion machine.  It is a small wand that blows an extremely fine sand onto your face and the wand vacumes your skin at the same time.  It takes a while to cover every inch of your face. 

After it was over she applied a lemon gel to my face.  There was still traces of sand on my face, but I felt great and I felt very beautiful as I joyfully made out my check for 45.00 !!!  plus a generous tip.  It is a special price they have right now - lucky me :)

Some places in Atlanta charge 200.00 for medical microdermabrasion.

I got in my car and looked in the rear view mirror and was almost scared by my red spotted face.  I did not go anywhere else the rest of the day.   

The next day it looked much better, when I put on makeup it was so smooth .  As the days go by it looks better and better.  My pours are much smaller.  My face looks brighter and more youthful.  I want to go back every 2 weeks as long as the sale lasts.

I just thought I would would write about microdermabrasion because I wondered about it.
