June 28 Hp and a snake biteHere is the thing. I got a new laptop from the pawn shop it is an HP special edition entertainment PC. I love it. It has vista and I am learning how to use it. I like it so far. If you dont give a crap about my computer woes scroll on down for more news. I have 2 major complaints about the new puter. #1. When watching a video it will not full screen the video - this sucks. #2. I can not visit many of my spaces friends. this sucks MORE! It gives me this page.

I remember that worked in the past when MSN decided I was not worthy. Not so lucky this time. Y'all are such a big part of the internet for me that this is a HUGE bummer. The other news in my wonderful little world is my goat girl was bitten by a snake yesterday. Her throat was swelling at an alarming rate. Russ just happened to notice the swelling when he fed them last night. We called the vet, he made a farm call. Her put her to sleep and shaved her neck. drew blood, gave an anti -venom and a shot of penicillin. I am to give additional shots of penicillin for three days. She is much better today. Oh yea, the cost was 253.00 !!! She was already have difficulty breathing. She probably would not have made it through the night if we hadn't sprung into action. I dont have a goat picture on this computer yet. If you dont know Thelma Lou you can find her in my photos. I am having a sterling silver extravaganza on ebay. Try "sterling silver u choose". They end on sunday though. I hope I can get this worked out and be back soon. If not, this thing is a BOAT ANCHOR!
TTFN~ June 22 Four years laterMy mother passed away on June 21 four years ago. Things my mother said to me. You have done so much for me. I tried to think of 12 things my mother said to me that I would never forget. They may not all be pretty but, there they are.
TTFN~ June 17 lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer.
Summer is in full swing here in Georgia. . The days are a steamy 90* everyday. The pool is up and running. We go swimming every night.
The garden is booming. We have zucchini yellow crook neck squash. cucumber jalapeno peppers bell peppers tomatoes and corn. Russ built the arbor while I was in Pensacola last month. Here is my dog, Gracie next to a squash plant. Russ and his brother went to the "Palace" in florida last weekend. They laid the new floors all the way through it ~ WHOO HOO! It makes all the difference. The Family reunion is next month and I will be staying there for the first time. It is is in the middle of the Florida scrub in alligator country. There are snakes and the biggest spiders you have ever seen. Oh yeah. remember I had all of that Red Wings crap. It sold like crazy. I don't have anything listed right now. maybe soon. Well, I am out of pictures so, I'll close for now. TTFN~ June 03 3rd of JuneIt was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
May 25 I got nuthin'There is nothing new to write about so, lets just look at some more pics. This was our housekeeper's cart in Pensacola. I spy a bottle of Gin. GASP! She doesn't even try to hide it. haha This is a dead crab at the beach. This is a whale (me) at the beach. jon, just because he's so damn cute. suitable for framing. I hope you have bright sunny days and If you live in the good ole U.S. and enjoy your freedom, thank a vet. Remember some gave all. TTFN~ May 13 GraduationMy son, Jon now holds an associates degree in arts. He never fails to amaze me. I am so proud of him for his many accomplishments in his young life. We went bar hopping to his favorite watering holes in Pensacola after the ceremony. Here he is a few drinks later. Russ did not go because our store has to stay open. My friend Richard went with me. He also helped me get my house back under control after the remodel. I am putting up a picture of Richard graduation night. I know he is going to freak out but, ... tuff. At least it's not a beach picture :^) The banana trees behind Richard in the car are from the NEX on the Navy base. Richard planted them for me when we got home. Actually, he planted my entire flower garden this year. I hope he has a green thumb. So far, so good. TTFN~ April 28 Sweet new suiteYou would think that taking down one wall and putting a large opening in another would be finished in a couple of days. I can not begin to explain the domino effect that happened. All of the sudden, my entire house was in total disarray. It is getting back to normal. There is sheet rock dust in places I would have never dusted if I lived to be 100. Here is the finished bedroom. It used to be in the foreground only. I lOVE it! This is my reward - I am still not smoking. My Babar was "fixed" today. He is spotting blood a little and staggering around. They say to keep him inside for 5 days. I am off to Florida again soon. My son (Jon) is graduating from College on May 6th. My friend Richard will be going down with me. He has been a huge part of Jon's life all of his 26 years. Russ will stay here with the animals, and keep the pawn shop open. Business is great. Many people are pawning items and paying interest on the loans. That keeps us going until sales pick up. I guess that is all for now. I can't wait to get started catching up with everyone. Ya'll be good.
TTFN~ April 12 Florida ahhgin...The trip was uneventful. EXCEPT we take the dog and the cat. They did travel well but people do stare, especially at a cat with a harness. NO, he does not like it or walk well like a dog AT ALL. Jekyll Island News in the Atlanta Journal: Your input has helped shape a significant revision in the Jekyll Island beachfront development plan.
An announcement was made this morning at 10:00 at a press conference held at the Capitol that the JIA, after conferring with its private partner, Linger Longer Communities, has decided to back off its plans to build condominiums, hotels and time-shares within the jurisdictional area recently established by the Coastal Resources Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, in accord with the Shore Protection Act (SPA). Whoo-hoo! I will try and visit around soon though I have about a gazillion projects going on. I am moving my office to another room. (what a task!) We are knocking down the wall between bedroom and den. Building one between the den and kitchen. It is going to be a master suite. My bed room will have a fireplace and a sliding glass door that overlooks the pool. oo la la I have wanted to do this since we moved in. I have been shopping for a new bed. My back is killing me. I want new flooring but, can't afford that right now. I also picked a new paint color for the bedroom. I was going for a tuscan villa color. I wanted a golden sand paint color. I painted a swatch on the wall tonight and am afraid it looks too caution sign orange. I have not even started on the garden. We are getting our last cold snap now. There is serious spring cleaning going on here. I am going to have a massive yard sale in the store parking lot soon. I am looking to hire a strapping young fella to help with with some hefty furniture moving. I need a boy toy to order around. I could make him some lemonade..... TTFN~ March 30 4th Annual CSWIs it? Oh My Gosh! It IS....MSN Live Spaces 4th Annual (user proclaimed) Computer Surroundings Week. The holiday too big to last only one day! For those who don't know, - post pics to show enquiring minds how the area in which you blog looks. :P Everyone MUST play. I don't want to hear that old shit umm, mine looks the same as last year. (Stephen , Twila & Bob) we still want to see. I think it helps us to picture each others lives. It's our little block party so, proudly promote our self made holiday at your space & get those pics up! Here is my 2008 shot. Here is a little twist this year. This is my view when I am on the 'puter. most of the time. my feet and a cat or dog ~ well, half a cat. Thanks to everyone for asking, my dad is much better. His electrolytes were out of whack. He is back home and doing well. I am off to Florida for a few days to visit my dad. It is also the triplets spring break. We will do some work on the vacation palace while we are there. (painting) Oh yea, I am still not smoking! Its cRaZy that I am able to deny them. I still think about them everyday. Cherry slushies from Sonic are keeping me from cheating. They probably have 200 grams of sugar each but...... I'm not smokin' em. Thanks for all the encouragement ya'll. One last thing to be aware of. My little state of Georgia has barrier Islands one of the last non-touristy ones is Jekyll Island. We ride bikes all over the island. There are no grand hotels crowding the beaches. Simple affordable across the road motels and a campground are what you will find here. As it is now, developers are standing by waiting to devour our little island that is stuck in time since the 1960's. Sadly we only have 5000 signatures so far. If our beaches and coastlines mean anything to you please go here http://www.savejekyllisland.org/AffPet.html and quickly sign. Come on, do it for me. HAPPY COMPUTER SURROUNDINGS WEEK !!
March 16 going once, going twice.Do you want the good news first or, the bad news first? I always want the bad news first. My dad is in the hospital. He is feeling better but, I may still go to Florida to see him tomorrow. Also, the lady who was my client last week is in ICU. They say they have done all they can for her. On a lighter note, I do have some good news. We got another storage unit. It was a dollar. Yes, this is what a one dollar unit looks like.
I bagged 95% of clothing for the trash. A leather coat and a few other pieces that can be sold. There was quite a few baby clothes NWT's. After searching through little jewelry boxes and purses, I came up with 160.00 worth of scrap gold. Nothing wearable but, gold is gold. You must be able to embrace the freegan lifestyle. Remember the last unit? It was full of sports stuff? I am a babe in the woods in this category. Can someone help me with these autographs? If everything else is any indication these are sports figures in Michigan during the 60's. Anything you can tell me about any of these people would be greatly appreciated. TTFN~ March 14 Why do ya think they have 31 flavors? My client has gone home with in home nursing coming to her house from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm. That is not enough. She is in incontinence garments. I tried to explain to them that you can not lie around wet from 7pm until 7am. When the skin begins to break down...well, it' is very hard to heal. Her 91 year old husband insisted he can handle it.
Today is my dads birthday, he is 84 years old.
I simply can not help myself. I will have to bend your ear about Survivor. I have never cared for Jonathan. All the sudden when he left on medical, he was everyones best friend. pfft-one less in competition to me. Ami was brilliant. It would have been the perfect time to vote Ozzy out. You know, no one will be able to beat Ozzy in the end. I know I love Ozzy too.BUT.
Did Chet vote for himself...?...geez.
TODAY IS MY 31st DAY OF NO SMOKING.
This is truely the hardest thing I have ever done. I have always heard it is like quitting heroin. There have been some hard times here folks. I have been physically ill, fever and vomiting. I have been emotional - err, an emotional mess. I have been very depressed too. The weather is 60*s and beautiful here. I want to lie in bed in a dark room and sleep until this is over. Every day I am faced with doing something I have never done without a cigarette before.
So, yes Isabelle I have been through so many different levels of sanity that - at this point, I don't know who I really am. I hope in the end someone emerges that I can live with.
TTFN~
March 12 sleep deprivation
I must say a few words about last weeks Survivor episode. If you have been watching it is hard to deny that Chet may be the worst Survivor who has ever played the game. T hat being said, I despise Joel. He is such a Neanderthal. I am glad that the stupid caveman (Joel) was voted off. He treated Chet with total disregard. I am sure that everyone saw how he treated his teammate and realized he could have seriously hurt anyone of them. Here is a clip of the challenge. Remember, Chet is 48 years old.
I am way behind on blogging because I am working again. I have a client here. She is an 89 year old female, diabetic with some heart problems. Her main issue is being off of her feet for 2 weeks. That is very bad for someone her age. She is no longer walking. PT comes to her 2X a week. She is VERY high maintenance. If I don't come running immediately she begins to hammer on the bed rails with the remote control. She has her days and nights mixed up which is killing me. I am working on getting her another placement. This isn't going to work out on a long term basis - or even a short term basis. Please forgive me for not visiting right now. I am sleeping or trying to.
TTFN~ March 03 COUNTRY EYECountry Eye
My son describes this as the inability to tell when something is tacky.
Consider yourself warned that is will be an entry slam full of country eye.
Saturday morning we went to a storage unit auction. There was only one unit. We got it. There was some interesting beer signs and liquor bottles we will make the money back on. This is the rest of the stuff, crystal glasses, Wedding stuff , Playstation, Hanging pictues and a huge collection of 1960's redwings stuff. Oh yeah & the front section of the moon landing in 1969 in the newspaper.
We had theatre tickets Saturday night to a local Play called Sex, Lies and the IRS. It was okay but not as good as Daddy's Dying Who's Got The Will? We also went to my neighbor "Elvis's" place. It was headbanger hard rock and roll night...we couldn't hang with that.
Sunday we got up and drove to Atlanta to visit Russ's family. He is so excited. He had a harley when we met, he sold it. He has been wanting another one ever since. This was his lucky day. This is Russ's new Harley Davidson. It is a 1974 with a fatboy front end and I can't remember the rest of its speel. All I remember is it was 700.00!
Yep, it's in about a thousand pieces in boxes in my car! BUT, We have a picture of what it looked like before it was taken apart to paint.
Just when ya think you can't take anymore of my country ass life, I've got more!
You know we have a pawn shop? Well our neighbor moved out of his office (I use the term office lightly) next door. He owned the little building and didnt want to take it with so we bought it.
It's cute and it matches the Pawn Shop. It needs a GOOD cleaning. There is a bathroom and everything in it. I now have an office and no business to put in it. hmmmm.
I am thinking of being a Bail Bondswoman. If that is not country, I'll kiss your ass.

February 28 Leap Day
I have joined Oprah.com I will be part of the largest classroom in the world. If you haven't heard, it's about a book called A New Earth - Awakening to your life's purpose. I do not have the book yet. But, I'm workin' on it. The classes start March 3 and are every Monday night. You have to join Oprah's site in advance to participate. A friend of my sisters that I admire joined so I followed suit. Its free and I have nothing to lose. TODAY IS DAY 16 WITH NO FAGS!!! I have a few things going on. I have been offered a job at a decent pay. I don't think I am going to take it. Hell, I know I'm not. It is 5 days a week and I am not into that. I haven't worked outside my home in about 12 years.I have some items to list on ebay. I had a BAD experience with international shipping and ebay so I no longer do that. I sold a pair of binoculars twice and both times the buyer did not read the shipping instructions. I am listing them for a THIRD time. Its a charm right? The triplets went home.. Try having 2 boys and a girl all 11 years old for daayyys. I am cleaning up the guest rooms one at a time. no hurry. I am not expecting anyone else soon. Do you remember that I live next door to an Elvis impersonator? He has a club in town where local music acts play at. He was gracious enough to squeeze my nephews in at the last minute on Saturday night. Here is a lil' video clip of the boys playing Needle and the damage done. Remember they have only been 11 years old for 2 weeks! This was their first time on a real stage with an audience. I thought they were wonderful!
aren't they cute? The weather here is cold for us in the south. I need to do a lot of things outside at home as well as at the store. Nothing that can't wait till it warms up a little. When I start talking about weather, I'm outta here. TTFN~ February 21 Lunar elipseThe cat is out of the bag.
My son Jon knows that I am 9 days smoke free.
It is alot of pressure, but I feel good about it.
My sisters triplets
I*n*n*i*s, I*a*n, & I*v*y
are here and things are going well.
They are 11 years old and really funny.
They said they know all about pickles and olives.
It took me a minute, cuz we used to call it
the birds and the bees.
GOSH kids
grow up
fast.
!
Here is the real reason for the blog. Did anyone see the solar eclipse? These are the pictures I took with a regular digital camera. If you can se the white speck down and to the left of the moon. I think it is Saturn that is usually not visable due to the glow of the moon.
almost a full eclipse.
full solar eclipse.
Beginning of the end
I think the picture below may be the best picture I've ever taken.
TTFN~
February 19 AntKatHelp. It is winter break again. That means my sisters 11 year old triplets will be spending the week with me/AuntKat. They go home on Sunday. If you never see me again, you know what happened to me.
I am preparing a small birthday party for when they arrive. They turned 11 on Feb 4 so it's still kind of fresh. When I was ordering the cake she showed me another book that had rock stars photographs. She said
'we can scan it right on the cake with suger and food color as ink". I said HEY then you can scan THEIR picturs the same way. she said well, yes. I said "shut up, I am going home to scan a piture. I'll be back. I can't wait to see how it comes out.
I bought 6 heliun balloons, and 18 9" balloons to blow up and kick around on the floor. We will have the cake, ice cream, ginger ale and orange sherbert for the traditional punch. One platter will have olives cheese and crackers. The other will have grapes, kiwi and strawberries.
How am I gonna make it with 3 kids and not smoking? Can you hear my teeth grinding?
7 day itchI have NOT had a smoke in
SEVEN DAYS!!!
It has been 30 years sine I have gone with out cigarettes for more that 24 hours.
I am telling myself "its like cocaine, it's just something I don't do anymore".
The more I sit here and think about it,
the more I want it!
Fags not cocaine.
Wish me luck.
February 15 usetodoI used to make a big deal about it and be the Friday Morning Quarterback for Survivor. Nobody ever responds so I won't put you through it anymore. I'll just say If you are not watching Survivor, well shame on you.
We had a nice Valentines/Survivor night. I made those Tyson anytizers chicken wings in a bag. They are AWFUL. My dog ate them though. Russ and I had a great salad and baked potato candle light dinner. He had beer I had chardonnay.
This is what I got for Valentines Day A beautiful tennis bracelet.
This is what Russ got
I know, I suck.
